The collections of the Bolesławiec Museum are rich, diverse and exceptionally interesting. Every object has its own history, and some exhibits have already become almost legendary. How did they find their way to the Museum, where were they previously located, and whom did they belong to? Our readers will be able to find out.

Where your heart is, there… your museum?

In the upcoming issue, we will present an article devoted to the collection of the former Kutuzov Museum, closed in 1991. To this day, Bolesławiec residents tell stories about the price that exhibits dedicated to the memory of the Russian field marshal commanded on the black market. What really happened, and where did the weapons and furniture end up? Find out in the April issue.

“The Bolesławiec Treasure” – a Journey from Across the Ocean

The world’s largest collection of nine richly decorated 17th-century Bolesławiec vessels arrived at the Museum of Ceramics in 2013. The purchase of the collection was made possible thanks to the support of the city authorities and financial assistance from local businesses, as widely reported by the media. Although the vessels were made in our city, they traveled around the world for 400 years before finally returning to Bolesławiec. The history of the collection and the story behind its purchase, coming soon. We encourage newspaper and portal readers to enjoy the series and invite them to visit the Museum of Ceramics.
