Gimnazjum Samorządowe No. 2 named after Poles Deported to Siberia, together with the Museum of Ceramics and the Society of Lwów and Southeastern Borderlands Enthusiasts, is carrying out the “Save from Oblivion – Borderlands Residents” project.

Dear Borderlands residents, if you would like to share your memories with young people and consent to having your biographies included in a book, please contact Gimnazjum Samorządowe No. 2 named after Poles Deported to Siberia in person or by telephone at ul. Bielska 5, phone: 75 732 3076. The organizers are accepting applications until February 28, 2014.

The project begins on February 17, 2014, and will last three months. Its aim is to publish a book containing approximately 70 biographies of Borderlands residents who live in Bolesławiec.

The conclusion of the project, combined with the promotion of the book, will be an important part of the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the Society of Lwów and Southeastern Borderlands Enthusiasts during Bolesławiec Days.

The historical project is held under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of Bolesławiec.
