The Lower Silesian Primary School Swimming Relay Final is behind us. The competition was held in Lubin. In the girls’ category, swimmers from Oxpress Bolesławiec Primary School won third place in the province, recording a time of 2:15.98 and defeating competitors from Wrocław, Jelenia Góra, Kłodzko, Świdnica and Lubin.
Our bronze medalists competed in the following lineup: Patrycja Faryna, Julita Węglicka, Ola Kunecka, Iza Kalenik, Joanna Ośko, Jadwiga Węglicka, Julita Jośko and Wiktoria Młodzińska.
The boys’ team (consisting of: Wiktor Wilk, Jakub Owczarek, Hubert Parzyński, Kuba Michalak, Ivan Sushchenko, Filip Jośko, James Pratt and Rafał Karoński) took sixth place. Both teams are coached by Jakub Jakubowski.
“Such excellent results are possible thanks to the enthusiasm and persistent work of the students, who train several times a week under the supervision of an experienced coach at Bolesławiec’s Orka,” says Dariusz Tyrakowski, the school’s headmaster. “The kids gave it their all, and the satisfaction is even greater when we realize that merely qualifying for the provincial stage required defeating hundreds of schools from across the province. We feel that our Oxpress teams are growing stronger, and we look forward to the next challenges!”
