The Integration Wafer Meeting was held on January 25 in the sports hall of I LO. For the fourteenth time, people with disabilities from Bolesławiec County and their families, caregivers and friends had the opportunity to participate. The meeting was chaired by the delegate of the Bishop of Legnica, Rev. Dr. Jarosław Kowalczyk.

On behalf of the organizers, the participants were welcomed by county head Cezary Przybylski, who spoke, among other things, about how the County supports people with disabilities. He mentioned the elevator installed at the II General Secondary School, the funds obtained to purchase minibuses for the Occupational Therapy Workshops and the Nursing Home, as well as the organization of competitions (in swimming, athletics and tennis), parties and integration trips.

“All these undertakings show that people with disabilities want to be active and are capable of being active. They do not wait for others to do something for them; they engage themselves and undertake initiatives that have already become a tradition in our county,” the county head emphasized. “The wafer meeting is also one of them, and people with disabilities have been involved in it for years. Thanks to them, we have beautifully decorated tables, can admire their artwork, and during the artistic program we will also discover their musical talents.”
