The Director of the Copper Museum in Legnica and the artist invite you to the opening of the stained-glass exhibition by Magdalena Olga Konieczna, “Divisions of the World.” The opening will take place on Friday, January 24, at the Copper Museum in Legnica (entrance from Świętego Jana Street). It begins at 4:00 p.m..
Magdalena Olga Konieczna. A native of Bolesławiec and a graduate of the Janusz Korczak Secondary School No. 2. She completed her master’s degree in 1999 at the Faculty of Art of the Higher School of Education in Częstochowa. In 2000–2002, she studied journalism and public relations at the University of Wrocław. In 2010, she completed postgraduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław.
Since 2000, she has worked in Bolesławiec in arts education for children and young people. Professionally, she is associated with the Youth Culture Centre in Bolesławiec (Printmaking Studio) and the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramics Centre (Glass and Stained-Glass Studio). She also cooperates with other cultural and educational institutions. Her students have won numerous art competitions, while the results of her educational work have been highly rated by experts.
In addition to teaching, she mainly works in commercial graphics, painting and stained glass. She experiments by combining various artistic techniques and materials. She has presented her work at exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
