The District Primary School Basketball Championships are behind us. In the girls’ category, the team from SP No. 1 in Bolesławiec proved to be the best, playing in the following lineup: Martyna Marks, Karolina Hajdamowicz, Natalia Bartkowiak, Aleksandra Kaźmierczak, Eryka Janiec, Weronika Godek, Anna Rudek, Dagmara Luszka, Marta Wołosz, Agnieszka Gołębiewska and Magdalena Polańska. The team’s coach is Elżbieta Rowgało. The basketball players from Nowogrodziec finished second, while representatives of the Primary School in Kraśnik Dolny took third place.
In the boys’ category, the district championship was won by the basketball players from SP No. 1, who competed in the following lineup: Jakub Kowalonek, Martin Nakonieczny, Adrian Puzio, Wojciech Diensbier, Maciej Sokołowski, Kacper Ekwiński, Jakub Skorupiński, Kamil Bartkowiak, Cezary Kulig, Piotr Ładniak and Mateusz Medyński. The team’s coach is Jarosław Leszczyński. The team from Bożejowice took second place (Jakub Mrozik, Filip Kurowski, Filip Witas, Marcel Michnowski, Bartosz Janeczko, Kacper Farbis, Kamil Gadziński, Maciej Ziółkowski, Jakub Różnicki, Kacper Lisicki and Michał Kozioł, coached by Aleksandra Kojder). The players from Tomaszów finished third.
The two best boys’ teams and the district champions’ team advanced to the zonal competitions. The competition was organised by the Inter-School Sports Centre, which operates within the structures of the District Centre for Education and Staff Training.
