Before and just after the Second World War, Komuny Paryskiej Street was one of the most beautiful streets in our city. Over time, however, as the city centre shifted eastward, it lost its importance and its appearance deteriorated. Unfortunately, its renovation is progressing very slowly. One of the gems that has definitely changed its appearance is the tenement building at the corner of Komuny Paryskiej and Opitza streets. It now houses a pub; a restaurant and hotel will open there in the near future.

The rebuilding of the tenement building is practically complete. The basement and attic rooms are fully finished. Piwnica Paryska has now opened its doors for good. The owner of the property, Bogusław Nowak, invites musicians and artists to perform there. Each of them will be able to hold their own author’s evening. Piwnica Paryska guarantees performers beer and a hot meal.
