The incident occurred before noon. The driver, who was transporting a Christmas nativity scene, drove onto the fountain slabs. They collapsed and damaged parts of the installation.
“We have insurance for incidents like this. Fortunately, the fountain’s control system was not damaged,” says Józef Król, president of PWiK.
The fountain was put into operation in August 2010. Its construction cost nearly PLN 675,000. A camera showing the fountain is available around the clock on our website.
