In October, we wrote that the mayor of Bolesławiec informed councillors that Robert Tarsa, director of the Jelenia Góra Provincial Road Traffic Centre, had announced that he would do everything possible to ensure that the Bolesławiec WORD began operating as early as 1 January 2014.

During the June session of the City Council, secretary Jerzy Zieliński explained to councillors that a resolution by the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Assembly was needed. It was adopted in November. It states: “Bolesławiec, Głogów and Świdnica are designated as cities [...] where a state examination for driving licence categories AM, A1, A2, A, B1 and B may be conducted.”

At the municipal office, we learned that representatives of the Jelenia Góra WORD, who visited our city on 13 November, announced that the Bolesławiec centre would begin operating later this year. Under a resolution adopted in May this year, the Bolesławiec City Council approved leasing the property on Lubańska Street to the WORD—for 10 years, without a tender—covering an area of just under one hectare. The annual lease cost is PLN 30,000.

We will return to the matter.
