The Municipal School Complex No. 1 in Bolesławiec, together with the Primary School from Česká Lípa, had been implementing the “Passion Beyond Borders” project since May 2013. The project was co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund and by state budget funds via the Nysa Euroregion.
On November 8, the ceremonial conclusion of the project took place in the BOK MCC conference room. Representatives of the Bolesławiec city authorities took part in the meeting, including Deputy Mayor Kornel Filipowicz, Chair of the City Council Józef Pokładek, Deputy Chair of the Council Janina Pietrak-Babińczuk, Head of the Social Affairs Department of the City Office Beata Sulska, and Councillor Stanisław Zmaczyński, as well as guests from the Czech Republic.
The presentation of films and photographs related to the project was interspersed with performances by children from grades 1–3, who danced the Czech polka and sang tourist songs. The culmination of the cooperation is the tourist guide “The Giant Mountains and the Česká Lípa Region Through Our Eyes”.
