The “Long” Gallery presents works by students and graduates of the ceramic sculpture studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. At the opening, Professor Czesław Dźwigaj thanked the exhibition organizers for their hospitality in Bolesławiec.

– I would like to thank BOK-MCC director Ewa Lijewska-Małachowska and the people of Bolesławiec for helping young artists make their debuts – said the professor of the ceramic sculpture studio. – Bolesławiec and this exhibition will appear in their portfolios as one of their experiences. The activity of a cultural center is an intellectual contribution to building Poland, which will bear fruit someday – he added Czesław Dźwigaj.

The second gallery in the main BOK-MCC building, meanwhile, has opened a debut exhibition of sculpture and drawing by Magdalena Cisło. It features the artist’s diploma project: the series “On Overcoming Suffering—On the Creative Power of Hope.”

Magdalena Cisło received a diploma with the rector’s medal of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow for her work. Her exhibition debut took place in our city.

– Magda belongs to the current of axiological art – Professor Bogusz Salwiński, speaking about his student, said. – It is art that speaks about human feelings. Magdalena is also an artist who always maintains her own opinion while working. She listens and is open-minded, but in her work she shows herself and what she wants to convey to the viewer – her supervisor praised the student.
