The Sports Council appointed by the city’s president on October 1 consists of:
- Dariusz Jośko – Director of the Municipal Sports and Recreation Center in Bolesławiec
- Janusz Kozioł – representative of the “Bolesławia” Inter-School Sports Club
- Edyta Kwiecińska – representative of the “Bobry” Students’ Sports Club
- Robert Tomczyk – representative of the Municipal and Communal Table Tennis Club “TOP Bolesławiec”
- Marek Tor – representative of the “Czwórka” Students’ Sports Club
- Józef Pokładek – representative of the Bolesławiec Sports Club
At its first meeting, convened by the city’s president, the Sports Council will elect its chairperson.
The Sports Council’s responsibilities include providing opinions on: the municipality’s development strategy concerning physical culture and sport; the section of the budget concerning physical culture and sport; draft resolutions of the City Council concerning the development of physical culture and sport; sports-facility development programs in the city of Bolesławiec; plans for sports and recreational events organized by various organizations and co-financed by the Municipality of Bolesławiec; and initiating activities concerning the development of physical culture and sport in the Municipality of Bolesławiec.
The Sports Council’s term lasts two years. Participation in the Sports Council is voluntary and unpaid.
