During a session of the Bolesławiec City Council held on 30 October, councillors were informed about the matter by Piotr Roman. As the mayor emphasized, Robert Tarsa, director of the Jelenia Góra Provincial Road Traffic Centre, announced that he would do everything possible for WORD Bolesławiec to begin operating as early as 1 January 2014.
“The establishment of WORD in Bolesławiec will bring the city nothing but benefits. Customers will come here and, naturally, stop to eat something, for example. The catering industry will benefit, and more tax revenue will flow into the city coffers,” Roman Kuty, deputy head of WORD in Jelenia Góra, told us at the beginning of October. “The routes are easy and short; I do not think Bolesławiec will become impassable as a result. We estimate that 40–50 people will take their driving tests in Bolesławiec each day. If this causes traffic jams, they will certainly be minimal. The average person will not notice them.”
We will return to this matter.
