The Fighting Poland symbol was hung on Bolesławiec’s defensive walls

The Anchor, a symbol of Fighting and independent Poland, was hung on the defensive walls on Kubika Street. The plaque was unveiled and consecrated several days before the 66th anniversary of the creation of the Polish Underground State was commemorated.

To commemorate those who fought underground, the Bolesławiec ZHP troop hung a steel Anchor on September 24 on the defensive walls on Kubika Street. The Anchor was made with the help of Bolesławiec companies and support from the local government.

The ceremony was prepared by scouts and staff from the Szare Szeregi ZHP Troop in Bolesławiec. Representatives of the city and county local authorities, as well as veterans’ organizations, attended the ceremony.
