The incident occurred on Saturday, September 28, at the intersection of Staszica and Góralska streets. At around 3:45 p.m., the Citroën driver leaving Góralska Street failed to yield the right of way to the driver of a Ford Focus. A collision occurred. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The Citroën driver was fined PLN 500.
The intersection of Staszica and Góralska streets is a dangerous place. Collisions occur there frequently. Drivers should exercise particular caution. Last year, in June, a Renault Laguna was leaving Góralska Street and failed to yield the right of way to the driver of an Opel travelling along Staszica Street. A collision occurred. The Opel passenger was taken to hospital. A month earlier, a minibus collided with a taxi at this intersection. And in March of the previous year, a Ford Focus collided with a Fiat Tempra.
