BKS Bobrzanie treated their supporters to a spectacular football spectacle on Saturday, September 21. A total of nine goals were scored at the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street in Bolesławiec. Before the match against Orkan Szczedrzykowice, Paweł Żmudziński’s team needed points like oxygen. With seven points in the table, BKS were third from bottom.

The hosts began Saturday’s match with great enthusiasm. In the fifth minute, Paweł Żmudziński came close to scoring, but the Orkan goalkeeper easily saved his weak shot. Two minutes later, the crossbar saved the visitors from conceding. This time, Daniel Ziółkowski struck at the visitors’ goal. Shortly afterwards, Piotr Dzięgleski hit the side netting. During this period, BKS completely dominated their opponents, and their sustained attacks paid off in the 13th minute. The move was started by Paweł Rissmann, who shot towards goal. The ball fell to Marek Majka, who then passed to Emmanuel Ohagwu, running into the penalty area. Popularly known as Manu, he completed the move and BKS led 1:0. In the 21st minute, the visitors replied with a shot wide of the BKS goal, but it was the Bolesławiec side who dominated the match. Eight minutes later, the crossbar saved Orkan again. In the 34th minute, following a move involving Marek Majka and Paweł Żmudziński, the latter increased the lead to 2:0. In the 43rd minute, it was already 3:0. As with the first goal, Paweł Rissmann started the move. The BKS player delivered an accurate pass to Piotr Dzięgleski, who dribbled past a visiting defender and passed to Paweł Żmudziński. The goalkeeper from Szczedrzykowice once again had to retrieve the ball from the net.

After the break, BKS continued to attack. In the 51st minute, the supporters saw a quick counterattack ending with a cross into the penalty area and a spectacular headed goal by Paweł Żmudziński (his hat-trick). Piotr Dzięgleski provided the assist once again. BKS now led 4:0, and the advantage caused the Bolesławiec players to relax slightly, which the visitors immediately exploited. In the 57th minute, following a defensive error, Michał Piechuta scored for Orkan. However, BKS were unstoppable that day. In the 75th minute, Marcin Kraśnicki found himself in the visitors’ penalty area and calmly, without taking a risk, played the ball to Marek Majka, who was breaking into a clear position. Majka got a foot to it, making it 5:1 for BKS.

Despite the unfavorable result, the visitors did not intend to surrender easily. In the 81st minute, one of Orkan’s players tested Kamil Kulesza. A minute later, Michał Piechuta beat the BKS goalkeeper again. However, the visitors’ joy did not last long, because in the 85th minute, following a corner taken by Piotr Dzięgleski, Jacek Bochnia headed the ball into the net. In the 90th minute, Marcin Kraśnicki sealed the visitors’ defeat. BKS Bobrzanie – Orkan Szczedrzykowice 7:2 (3:0).

The supporters watched an entertaining and fast-paced match. BKS played open football. The hosts displayed great motivation and teamwork. The latter had been most lacking in earlier matches, especially in goal-scoring situations. Coach Paweł Żmudziński also plays an invaluable role in the team; against Orkan, he showed his footballing class.
