The ceremonial opening of the new public school run by the Piarist order took place on 4 September. It is the first Piarist educational institution in Lower Silesia and the eighth in Poland. The most important part of the ceremony was the service at the Bolesławiec Marian Basilica. The Mass was celebrated under the direction of Bishop Marek Mendyk. An assembly attended by, among others, local government officials was then held in the school auditorium. The building was blessed by Bishop Stefan Cichy.

A total of 125 students began their education at the Piarist Order’s Public Primary School and Public Lower Secondary School. The primary school opened classes one, two, four and five, while the lower secondary school opened two first-year classes. Eighteen teachers look after the students. Both schools are named after Stanisław Konarski, a Piarist and education reformer.
