In France, a meeting of young people from three partner cities—Bolesławiec, Siegburg and Nogent sur Marne—was held as part of the “Youth in Action” programme.
The idea behind the meeting was for young people to spend their free time actively and improve their language skills. The programme was rich and attractive. In the morning, participants took part in training with a professional sports activity-fitness instructor, and then the project participants toured Paris.
During the stay, each group presented its country and city to the project participants. The Canon group prepared two multimedia presentations about Poland and Bolesławiec, and the participants received leaflets about our city. “The time passed very quickly,” says the ensemble’s instructor, Katarzyna Tomczyk-Jakubowska. “New friendships formed among the participants and supervisors, and it was sad to leave.
Two years ago in Bolesławiec, young people from France took part in a similar programme organised by the Bolesławiec Municipal Commune.
