The tenth National Review of Musical Bands, Rock Blok w BOK, will begin on October 1 and last two days. On the first day, 25 bands will perform, competing for the main prize. It consists of PLN 2,000 and a contract to record an album at Jacek Krzaklewski’s “Bluesaw” studio. The best instrumentalists and vocalists will receive awards of PLN 500 each. A new feature of the review will be the presentation of the Journalists’ Award.

A professional jury consisting of Jacek Krzaklewski, Marek Raduli, Wojtek Pilichowski, Kasia Kowalska and Marek Szpyra will listen closely to the bands’ concerts. They will decide which bands perform the following day in the grand final.

For several years, the review has been enhanced by performances from well-known stars of the Polish rock scene. So far, the bands Kult, Ira, O.N.A. and Closterkeller have visited Bolesławiec. This year, Kasia Kowalska and her band will join the list and perform at the end of the review.

Another new feature will be Night Rock Playing, prepared in cooperation with the owner of Pegaz café. The organizers invite everyone to Klub Pegaz on October 1 and 2 from 11:00 p.m.

Bands wishing to perform during this year’s review are asked to submit a CD with their own songs and a completed application form by September 23. Tickets for the final concert are already on sale. The advance-sale price is PLN 27, and the price on the day of the concert is PLN 30. Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury invites young volunteers to cooperate. Those interested are asked to report to Klub Pegaz on September 22 at 5:00 p.m.
