The presentation of nomination letters to the members of the second-term Bolesławiec Senior Council took place at Bolesławiec City Hall. The Council serves an advisory and consultative role in matters concerning the quality of life of older people. Its work involves identifying the priorities, needs and problems of senior citizens, as well as presenting proposals and applications concerning measures for seniors.
The main point of the first meeting of the newly appointed Council members was the presentation of the regulations and a discussion of the document, followed by the election of the presidium. The presidium consists of:
- Maria Szpak – chair
- Wiesława Olczyk – deputy chair
- Marianna Doktor – secretary.
The election was preceded by an address from Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman on the city’s policy towards senior citizens.
