SRG Global Bolesławiec has received another permit to conduct business activity in the Bolesławiec subzone of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone “Invest-Park”. The ceremonial presentation took place on 29 July 2013. In addition to SRG Global Bolesławiec, permits were also received by six other companies that will conduct business activity in the areas of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone: in Wołów, Świdnica, Dzierżoniów, Nysa, Strzegom and Wałbrzych.
The permits were presented by Barbara Kaśnikowska, president of WSSE “Invest-Park” sp. z o.o., together with Deputy Minister of Economy Ilona Antoniszyn-Klik. In her speech, Antoniszyn-Klik emphasized that the operating period of the 14 special economic zones would be extended until the end of 2026. Under the regulations in force at the time, they could operate until the end of 2020. Extending the zones’ operating period by six years would mean that they would continue to serve as an incentive for investment.
Representatives of the companies and municipalities where the individual subzones are located attended the ceremony. The permit for SRG Global Bolesławiec was accepted by Kornelia Ordon, operations director at SRG Global, and Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman. SRG Global Bolesławiec declares that it will invest at least PLN 82 million and hire no fewer than 50 new employees. The investment will be completed by December 2017 at the latest. The new plant will manufacture products for the automotive industry.
“I am very pleased that the company has decided to invest more than PLN 80 million specifically in Bolesławiec and create additional jobs. Our discussions to date with SRG Global representatives indicate that the new plant will be equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and environmentally friendly technologies,” said Piotr Roman.
It is worth recalling that SRG Global is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of chrome-plated plastic components for the automotive industry. The company operates in the world’s largest markets, including North America, China, and Western and Central Europe.
In November last year, representatives of SRG Global visited Bolesławiec. SRG Global’s management visited the existing factory in Bolesławiec. At the time, president Kevin Baird emphasized the soundness of the decision concerning the existing investment in Bolesławiec and stated that Bolesławiec appeared to be an ideal location for future investments in Europe.
