In the first half, Adrian Popek had a chance to score for the Bolesławiec team. In the 8th minute, after his shot was deflected by a Zgorzelec defender, the ball flew just over the crossbar. The match remained even until the end of the first half, but neither team created a dangerous opportunity. The long-awaited and ultimately winning goal for BKS came in the second half, in the 55th minute. Following an attack down the left side of the pitch, Adrian Popek received the ball. The Bolesławiec player beautifully chipped it over Nysa’s goalkeeper.

Ten minutes later, the referee made a highly controversial decision. Despite a brutal foul on Marcin Ciliński, the official did not stop the match. This prompted rather emphatic, verbally expressed protests from BKS goalkeeper Marek Przykłota. The referee showed our goalkeeper a red card for this. From that point on, BKS played with ten men. In addition to Marek Przykłota, Radek Pietkiewicz also had to leave the field. BKS substitute goalkeeper Sebastian Łokaj came on in his place. Despite their numerical advantage, Nysa failed to score an equaliser. Even the referee, who added eight minutes of stoppage time, could not help the hosts. Two minutes before the end of the match, Tomasz Jasiński had a good chance to extend the lead, but his shot narrowly missed the target. After a run of draws and a defeat, BKS Bolesławiec finally won and claimed the long-awaited three points.
