Police arrested the 47-year-old Bolesławiec resident on Tuesday on Jana Pawła II Street. The man was driving a Honda Civic passenger car. An alcohol test showed that the driver had as much as 2.8 per mille of alcohol in his system.

The following day, another drunk driver was apprehended in Stara Oleszna. This time, witnesses to the man's dangerous driving stunts spared the police the task of making the arrest. The 22-year-old driving a Ford Transit caused two road collisions. First, he hit the side of a Volkswagen Caddy and then drove away. However, he did not get far, because 300 metres later he collided with a Ford Focus. The man driving the Ford Transit was detained by witnesses and handed over to the police. It turned out that he was completely drunk. He had as much as 3.6 per mille of alcohol in his system. In addition, police established that the vehicle the 22-year-old was driving had been stolen in the same locality an hour earlier.
