Bolesławiec Transport Company plans to sell its bus station. “It is a large facility, private carriers do not use it, and there is no room for sentiment: taxes have to be paid,” explains county head Cezary Przybylski (Bolesławiec County is the sole owner of the PKS company). “The number of stops located at this bus station significantly exceeds PKS’s needs. At present, operating such a large facility in Bolesławiec is not necessary.”

As county head Przybylski emphasizes, large PKS bus stations are disappearing from the map of Poland. Increasingly, they are being combined with commercial facilities. This has happened, among other places, in Głogów and Lubin.

The same is supposed to happen in Bolesławiec. A minimarket would be built on the site of the bus station. “It should be emphasized, however, that PKS is protecting its interests. The bus station’s function will be preserved, and the company’s stops will still be located there,” explains Cezary Przybylski.

The only question is whether a buyer will be found. No one entered the first tender. We will return to the subject.
