The head of the Bolesławiec Center for Local Initiatives Via Sudetica issued a statement in which he wrote, among other things:
I always sadly accept the fact that various people use Gliniada and the results of our many years of work to promote themselves and do business. Especially when Gliniada is used to promote poor-quality products. [...] I do not like Gliniada being used to promote the book “Joachim” by Grażyna Hanaf. [...] I would like you to know that the Gliniada logo promoted this production at the Agora bookstore exhibition without the knowledge or consent of the Via Sudetica association, and that mentioning Gliniada in the context of this book is, in my opinion, inappropriate. I perceive the content of this production called a book, to some extent, as an attack on our community. [...] I think I have earned at least being asked whether I have anything against promoting a product with the help of Gliniada. I greet all those who support Gliniada and Via Sudetica because they value what we do more than what they can earn from us.
Meanwhile, in an interview he gave us in 2009, president Bogusław Nowak said that his hotel was fully booked and that this was a tangible result of Gliniada.
“First and foremost, I advertise myself,” Nowak said in the same interview. “Whatever I do, I do it for myself.”
Does this mean that president Nowak may benefit from all the profits generated by Gliniada, while other people who created it or worked on it may not even describe it so as not to be accused of self-promotion or doing business?
Grażyna Hanaf sadly accepts Bogusław Nowak’s words and declares that the head of Via Sudetica may use her hard work, achievements and the book, into which she invested her own time and money. And she has no objection to Bogusław Nowak promoting one of his own products with the help of “Joachim”.
The exhibition at the Agora bookstore, prepared by the booksellers, was changed. Via Sudetica could have benefited from promoting the book. However, the association did not want two mugs, a T-shirt, a card and a photograph to stand in the same window as “Joachim”. Now there is not a single item connected with Via Sudetica there. There are only photographs by Krzysztof Gwizdała.
On Grażyna Hanaf’s website, you can find all information and reviews of the book “Joachim”
