The incident occurred on June 13, before 10 p.m. A young resident of Parkoszów (Bolesławiec Rural Commune) was cycling to work. On the way, he encountered two men aged 25 and 27 from the same village. An argument broke out and escalated into a physical altercation. The cyclist was beaten and taken to hospital.
Both perpetrators, who had previously come into conflict with the law, were charged with assault. The attackers admitted guilt. It is known that they had been drinking alcohol before the incident. Moreover, there had previously been verbal clashes between the suspects and the victim.
The 25- and 27-year-old men will remain at liberty during the proceedings. The prosecutor’s office did not request their detention. Both attackers face up to three years in prison.
