Teams from Poznań, Warszawa, Nowy Sącz and Wrocław came to Bolesławiec. On Saturday, the players competed on a sandy pitch, so the teams consisted of five players each.
Those who knew about the tournament but did not come to cheer on the players have reason to regret it. The players gave it their all. The competition, commitment and determination to fight were evident. In the final standings, Husar I from Bolesławiec took first place. Czarno-Biali I from Nowy Sącz came second. Skra Warszawa finished third, followed by Czarno-Biali II Nowy Sącz, Husar II Bolesławiec, Chaos Poznań and Rugby Team Wrocław.
After the tournament, Bolesławiec captain Jakub Lisiewski made no secret of his joy. “We unexpectedly won the tournament. I am really pleasantly surprised. Good first- and second-division teams from all over Poland came here,” Jakub Lisiewski said after the match. “We want to organize such a tournament next year as well, and I hope it will be even bigger,” added the Bolesławiec team captain.
The 1st Bolesławiec Ceramics Cup Tournament was organized by Rugby Team Bolesławiec. The co-organizers were the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre and the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre.
