In the first week of March, the Steering Committee of the Nysa Euroregion decided to award funding for the “Tango Argentino Polish-German Dance Workshops” project.
The project, submitted to the Nysa Euroregion by BOK-MCC and the German association Tango argentino e.V., was created with substantial support from the Tango Bolesławiec Association, run at the centre by Małgorzata and Andrzej Piotrów. The project is being implemented under the Small Projects Fund Poland–Saxony 2012–2014.
The project involves Polish-German Argentine tango workshops, which will be held in the BOK-MCC dance studios. The international classes will be conducted under the guidance of experienced instructors from May this year until February 2014.
The classes will conclude with a final event featuring a champion couple from Argentina, accompanied by a band playing Latin American music. Each workshop session will end with a shared milonga, giving all participants the opportunity to put their newly acquired skills into practice.
“Tango Argentino” includes eight weekend workshop sessions plus a final event. Everyone interested in participating in the Project is invited to attend the Tango Bolesławiec group’s classes (held in the BOK-MCC dance studio every Tuesday and Friday from 20:15 to 22:00). Sign-ups are accepted during the classes by Ms Małgorzata Piotrów; places are limited.
The “Tango Argentino. Polish-German Dance Workshops” project is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund and by state budget funds, with the support of the Nysa Euroregion.
