A truly spring-like atmosphere filled the auditorium of the Janusz Korczak Secondary School No. 2 in Bolesławiec on March 21. The event marking the first day of spring was prepared by teacher Edyta Kwiecińska together with class II e and the student council.

A jury consisting of teachers Barbara Ostaszewska, Michał Król and Marcin Ostrowski, as well as representatives of the student council, judged the II LO students’ competition. The classes prepared spring landscapes, hairstyles and costumes. Naturally, marzannas could not be missing (class I e presented its own version of drowning Marzanna, intended exclusively for viewers with strong nerves, as the students of that class warned beforehand).

The event was enhanced by performances from the school’s students, including “Hallelujah” from Leonard Cohen’s repertoire and “Highway to Hell” by AC/DC. In the competition between the first- and second-year students, class II c proved the best. Class II e came second. Class I e took third place. The event was hosted by Monika Wierzchowska and Jakub Gieszczyk.
