Our juniors achieved a major success at the District Indoor Football Championship, held on 24 February in Jelenia Góra. Seven teams took part in the tournament, competing in a round-robin format. Throughout the competition, the BKS juniors proved to be a team playing effective attacking football and almost flawless in defence, with a record of 13 goals scored and one conceded (in fact, an own goal). From match to match, BKS played more and more effectively and, just as importantly, impressively, recording the following results:

  • BKS– Bogatynia 0:0
  • BKS– Łużyce Lubań 2:0 (Czernatowicz, Hajdamowicz)
  • BKS– Karkonosze 2:0 (Wakulski, Kobeluszczyk)
  • BKS– Kamienna Góra 3:1 (Kobeluszczyk, Powroźnik, Ziółkowski, Kobeluszczyk– own goal)
  • BKS– Zaręba 6:0 (Kamuda 2, Baczewski 2, Kliwak, Faryniarz)
  • BKS– Węgliniec 0:0

Our goalkeeper Cezary Purtaearned individual recognition between the posts and was chosen as the tournament’s best goalkeeper.

BKS: Purta, Czernatowicz, Wakulski, Kobeluszczyk, Kliwak, Kamuda, Baczewski, Faryniarz, Powroźnik, Hajdamowicz, Grzyb, Ziółkowski. The team’s coach is Maciej Sawicki.

It is worth noting that our juniors remain unbeaten in 2013. After winning the indoor tournament in Gromadka, defeating the fifth-placed LDJ team of Legnicka Miedź in a friendly, and drawing with KS Łąka, they can now add the District Championship tournament to that record. Hopefully, this run will continue for as long as possible.
