UKS Tukan Iwiny athletes are keeping busy. Some of the runners trained in the Kraków–Częstochowa Jura together with the Lower Silesian provincial team, while the others took part in a club training camp in Głuchołazy (Opole Voivodeship).

At the end of the winter holidays, Tukan athletes competed in the third stage of the Running Grand Prix of the Copper Basin. “The field in this series of races gets stronger every year, which makes us very happy, because there really are plenty of strong competitors to race against,” says Dariusz Pachnik, the club’s head.

On Sunday, 17 February, a seven-member team from Iwiny took part in the 49th edition of the Berliner Winter-OL. Five Tukan representatives won in their age categories: Staś Pachnik (H-10), Angelika Haniszewska (D-18), Małgosia Szeliga (D-19), Bartłomiej Szeliga (H-18) and Dariusz Pachnik (H-40).

The season in Poland will begin soon. For the third consecutive year, it will be opened by the Lower Silesian Forests Cup, which this time will be held in Żary County (5–7 April). Last year, almost 600 runners took part in the competition. Soon afterwards, Bartłomiej Szeliga, Marcin Wieczorek and Paulina Tschierschke will compete in the World School Championships in Portugal.
