BOK-MCC will host Professor Marek Cecuła – a ceramic artist and designer. He is the owner of Modus Design, and from 1985 to 2004 was dean of the Ceramics Department at Parsons School of Design in New York and a professor at the National College of Art and Design in Bergen, Norway. He founded the DCK studio in Kielce (Design Centrum Kielce – today Ex DCK).

Marek Cecuła’s designer works will be fired in Mateusz Grobelny’s original mobile kiln. Assembly of the kiln will begin on Wednesday (20 February) in the square next to BOK-MCC (from Bankowa Street). The firing can be observed on Saturday until late at night.

Also on Saturday, 23 February, at 4:00 p.m., Marek Cecuła will give a lecture entitled “Industrial Interventions” in the BOK-MCC conference room. After the lecture, in the evening, visitors will be able to watch the process of blowing sawdust into the kiln. On Sunday afternoon, the kiln will be opened and the vessels cleaned in the BOK-MCC ceramics studio.
