At the court in Jelenia Góra, four perpetrators were sentenced to imprisonment for the exceptionally brutal beating of a 53-year-old resident of Bolesławiec, Grażyna O. The verdicts were handed down on January 21 and are not final.
We wrote about the case in June and September last year. Three men and one woman took part in the beating, which took place on June 20, 2012. The highest sentence was given to 26-year-old Elżbieta Ł. – 8 years in prison. The victim was her aunt. Elżbieta repeatedly struck the victim in the face with her fist and then with an open hand. When Grażyna fell to the floor, Elżbieta kicked her around the head and slammed her head against the floor.
Marek B., a friend of hers of the same age, then joined Elżbieta. He kicked the victim in the head with great force and struck her temple with a door while dragging her into another room. The man was sentenced to 7 years in prison. Two other men who joined the attackers were sentenced as follows: 19-year-old Patryk B. received 5 years in prison, while 20-year-old Dariusz W. received 4 years of imprisonment.
When the attackers finished beating Grażyna, they sat her unconscious in an armchair and left, showing no concern for her condition. They returned two hours later and found that she was dead. They carried the body to a storage room. After being detained by the police, they confessed.
