The District Primary Schools Basketball Championships are behind us. The final matches of the competition were played on December 21. In the girls’ category, the team from SP No. 1 in Bolesławiec proved the best, playing in the following lineup: Magda Polańska, Weronika Godek, Karolina Hajdamowicz, Paulina Dobiech, Karolina Zatylna, Eryka Janiec, Dagmara Luszka, Ola Trawniczak, Justyna Deberny, Martyna Marks, Martyna Andarało and Anna Rudek. The team’s coach is Elżbieta Rowgało. The basketball players from Nowogrodziec finished second, while representatives of the Primary School in Kruszyn came third.
In the boys’ category, the district championship was won by the basketball players from SP No. 1, who played in the following lineup: Dawid Kowalonek, Jakub Kowalonek, Michał Klementowski, Mateusz Giergielewicz, Dawid Strojek, Adrian Puzio, Kamil Tyndyk, Michał Wiktorek, Kamil Kawka and Martin Nakonieczny. The team’s coach is Jarosław Leszczyński. The team from Nowogrodziec took second place, while the SP team from Bożejowice came third.
Both championship teams advanced to the zonal competition. The competition was organized by the Inter-School Sports Centre, which operates within the structures of the District Centre for Education and Staff Training.
