The Zielona Góra artist is an assistant in Professor Jan Gawron’s painting and drawing studio. A year ago, she graduated with distinction in painting from the Institute of Fine Arts in Zielona Góra. Monika Socha is a winner of the Gazeta Wyborcza “Grasz o staż” competition and took part in one of the exhibitions held as part of the European festival “Kraków 2000”.
Socha’s paintings depict the world of people. The landscape in the large-format works is a landscape of ideas and motifs that give order to life, determine courses of action and the circumstances influencing them.
The Bolesławiec Cultural Centre gallery is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (except Thursdays, when it is open until 4:00 p.m.).
