Mieczysław Kozłowski was born in 1949 in Poznań. He studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Wrocław. He has lived in Bolesławiec for 30 years. He practices painting, fine and applied graphic art, and also works with painting on ceramics.
"I definitely align myself with impressionistic art," he says about his work. "When creating on canvas, paper or, finally, in clay, I want to remain faithful to my ideas and impressions."
The artist’s work has been presented by museums and galleries both in Poland and abroad—including in Prague, Berlin, Bratislava, Dresden, Budapest and Karlovy Vary. Mieczysław Kozłowski’s works are also held in the private collections of collectors from many countries.
