Futsal gets underway

Last weekend, the indoor football league—popularly known as futsal—organised by the Inter-School Sports Centre in Bolesławiec began its competition. The teams taking part have been divided into Division I, featuring six teams in this year's edition, and Division II, which began with 11 teams. Both divisions play their matches at the sports hall at I LO in Bolesławiec.

On Saturday, 1 December, the first division began; below we present the results and table. In the first round, Wojsko and TDK recorded confident victories. Tomaszów and Kanonierzy, meanwhile, produced a very interesting and closely fought spectacle that ended in a 6:6 draw.

Results of the first round:
TDK – Zehnder 6:3
Otok – Wojsko 2:6
Kanonierzy – Tomaszów 6:6

On Sunday, 2 December, the second-division teams took to the court. In the opening match, Warta dealt harshly with Bader Polska, scoring 10 goals and conceding just two. Such a result at the start of the competition is a strong signal to the other teams that Warta's aim this season is promotion. Another match whose standard was on a par with the first-division games was the clash between Warta and Kruszyn.

The players in black took the lead first and held it until the end of the first half. At the beginning of the second half, however, a moment of lost concentration proved costly for Kruszyn, and a rejuvenated Warta scored three goals in quick succession. But the excitement did not end there. Kruszyn's players, catching their breath, went on the attack, scoring a goal to close the gap and increasingly threatening the opposing goalkeeper. This attack, however, led to a quick Warta counterattack, which settled the score at 4:2 and put Warta at the top of Division II.

Results:
Warta – Bader 10:2
Wędlindrobex – FC Bolesławice 0:6
