“The exhibition impresses with the diversity of its explorations and sources of inspiration, as well as its approach to ceramic material. It also provides an opportunity to reflect on the existence of the Wrocław School of Ceramics, a phenomenon that for years has distinguished the Academy there from other institutions of this kind through its standard and distinctive character,” says Katarzyna Żak of the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec.
The high quality of the works on display results from the interaction of the young artists’ talent and sensitivity with the experience and personalities of their artist-teachers: Prof. Grażyna Płocica, Gabriel Palowski, who created the exhibition arrangement, and Dorota Cychowska.
“Once again, the museum galleries show that ceramic material offers enormous possibilities for expression, balancing between sculpture, painting and even architecture,” explains Katarzyna Żak.
Following the Castle Gallery in Lubin, the Museum of Ceramics is the next venue to present the work of young ceramic artists. The exhibition will be open until 12 August and will conclude that day with a formal meeting with the artists.
