Benefit celebration of Wanda Surowiecka, a poet from Łaziska (Bolesławiec Rural Municipality), was held on November 11 at the Village Hall. The organizers of the gathering were the Łaziska village head and Village Council, the Rural Housewives’ Circle, the “Nasze Łaziska” Association, and the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Bolesławiec.
Among those attending the ceremony were District Governor Cezary Przybylski, GOKiS director Janusz Cieśla, Bolesławiec Municipality councillor Grażyna Łucka, and head of the Bolesławiec Amazons’ Club Władysława Kotlarek.
The gathering was enhanced by performances by children from the 4-H Club (Justyna Scholz, Daria Scholz, Julia Suchecka, Anna Szemberska, Gabriela Szelejewska, Justyna Biegała, Szymon Biegała, Karolina Chwała and Klaudiusz Chmielowski) and by the Leśne Nastroje ensemble from Dobra.
