As part of the “Winter 2012/2013” police operation, officers are checking places where homeless people may be staying. Police officers are also paying attention to people under the influence of alcohol (they are the ones most at risk of freezing to death), providing information and helping them reach facilities offering support to homeless people and others requiring care.
Police appeal to all residents of Bolesławiec County to report every person they notice lying or sitting on the ground, on benches, at bus stops or in garden arbors, who might be at risk of hypothermia. Let us not be indifferent! Our response could save someone’s life.
