The idea of establishing a branch in Bolesławiec emerged in 1976. Since 2006, the branch has been headed by Jan Doktor. “I am assisted by a ten-member board and treasurer Bronisława Kruczyńska,” says the head of the Bolesławiec branch of the Polish Association of Pensioners, Retirees and the Disabled. “Our organization now has 520 members. We try to fill their free time, often also the emptiness in our members’ lives. We operate in many areas. Above all, we want to strengthen interpersonal and intergenerational ties.”

During the anniversary meeting in the Forum hall of BOK-MCC, congratulations on the 35th anniversary were offered. Certificates of recognition were presented to: Wanda Bałdyka, Teodozja Sikora, Janina Białowąs. Albina Tylikowska, Genowefa Cieślak, Anastazja Piech, Barbara Świeboda, Bronisława Kuraś, Leokadia and Jan Makarewicz, as well as Stanisław Kowalik.
