The semifinal and final matches of the first edition of the Bolesławiec Amateur Volleyball League took place on Sunday, October 28, at the sports hall on Jana Pawła II Street in Bolesławiec. The best player of the competition was Marek Trzeciak from Old Stars, while the best female player was Agata Kubuś (Dzida). Tomasz Włoszczyński from Biuro Pomocy Prawnej was named the best attacker, while Józef Chmielowski from Monopol Xtrabike was named the best setter. The best server was Łukasz Mesjasz (Old Stars), while the best receiver was Piotr Panek (Teachers).
“The Bolesławiec Amateur Volleyball League competition was very successful,” says Jacek Łuczkowski from the Biuro Pomocy Prawnej team, the originator and co-organizer of the event. “Besides, in the opinion of many, the word ‘amateur’ is somewhat of an overstatement, since the level of the final matches was close to that of fourth-division games.”
The second edition of BALPS will begin soon. Detailed information on the subject will soon be available on the MOSiR website and on the Istotne.pl portal. “Even today, I encourage volleyball enthusiasts to create and register their own team,” adds Jacek Łuczkowski.
