Three Bolesławiec district schools took part in the competition: the Complex of Trade and Services Schools, the Complex of Mechanical Schools and the Complex of General and Vocational Schools. ZSOiZ presented a project for organising and operating the HOT-TUR hotel and tourism simulation laboratory. The Bolesławiec project was the only one to receive funding in the maximum amount of €20,000. The project was authored by Edyta Gorczyca, MA; Jolanta Płotnicka, MA; Headteacher Laura Słocka-Przydróżna; and Dariusz Kwaśniewski, Head of the Education Department of the District Office. The teachers who authored the projects had been preparing for the competition since January this year. During that time, they took part in two three-day training sessions on “Supporting the development of local partnership cooperation in the field of employment”.

In the second edition of the competition, schools from across Lower Silesia submitted 39 projects. Only four were awarded prizes. Last year, in the first edition of the competition, another Bolesławiec school also won. It was the Complex of Mechanical Schools, which won equipment worth more than €30,000. Bolesławiec District is the only one of two districts in Lower Silesia whose schools won in both editions of the competition. The other was Wałbrzych.

The main prize – €20,000 – will be used to purchase teaching equipment.
