The next exhibition at the BOK-MCC Gallery will present the work of Wrocław artist Mateusz Dworski, an assistant professor at the sculpture department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. Residents of Bolesławiec will have the opportunity to see the “Heads” series, works created between 2004 and 2012.

The artist will present sculptural forms made of cast iron, clay and Suporex, as well as bas-reliefs cast in bronze and drawings.

A characteristic feature of Dworski’s work is his great attention to technology. As the artist himself emphasizes, “the technological process is a continuation of the creative process, allowing works to be enriched with new artistic values or changed”.

Mateusz Dworski was born in 1969 in Wrocław. He graduated from the Faculty of Painting, Graphic Arts and Sculpture at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Wrocław. Since 2002, he has been associated with the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. The author of numerous prints, medals and commemorative plaques, he created, among other works, a commemorative medal marking the 300th anniversary of the University of Wrocław and the “Wrocław – the meeting place” plaque.

The opening will take place on Friday, 19 October. It will begin at 6:00 p.m.. The exhibition will be open until 25 November 2012.
