The event took place in front of the Community House. Each table held platters filled with strawberries. Everyone could taste the sweet fruit, grown on nearby plantations, free of charge.
The festival participants enjoyed numerous attractions. There was a strawberry lottery, a café serving sweets whose main ingredient was strawberries, as well as games and competitions related to the celebration.
The men competed to remove strawberry stems as quickly as possible. Another amusing competition involved fighting with foam swords. A folk ensemble from neighboring Żeliszów performed on stage. The festival continued until late in the evening.
The festival was organized by the Rural Housewives' Circle from Stare Jaroszowice, councilwoman Halina Mazurczak and the Municipal Culture and Sports Center in Kruszyn. The proceeds from the Strawberry Festival were allocated to renovating the church in Stare Jaroszowice.
