Instructors from the BOK-MCC break dance studio Paweł Klimek and Kamil Nakonieczny took part in this year’s Fokus Festival in Görlitz together with two of their students. The dancers Oskar Ciochoń and Sebastian Chojniarz competed against around 10 participants. Oskar Cichoń took second place.
The nine-year-old from Bolesławiec competed in the open category, impressing both the judges and the audience and earning genuine recognition from his competitors. “It is worth noting that there were no age divisions in this category,” says Kamil Nakonieczny. “Oskar competed against dancers who were not only older than him, but also more experienced. Sebastian, who is several years older than Oskar, also performed well. Both boys have been training for only six months,” Nakonieczny added.
