BKS failed to redeem themselves after Wednesday’s defeat to Jawa Otok. On Saturday (8 September), the Bolesławiec side lost 0:1 to Twardy Świętoszów in front of their home crowd. It was a poor match from both teams. Little happened on the pitch from the very beginning. Neither side played at a high tempo. The first dangerous shot came in the 19th minute. Sebastian Tylutki shot at the BKS goal from a free kick, but goalkeeper Manuel Kowalski was alert and tipped the ball for a corner. Three minutes later, Wojciech Glanc took a free kick at the Świętoszów goal but narrowly missed. In the 25th minute, Paweł Żmudziński shot at Twardy’s goal, but the military side’s goalkeeper was not caught off guard either. The visitors scored in the 41st minute. Marcin Łojko scored the match’s only goal. According to BKS supporters, players and officials, the Świętoszów player was offside. The referee did not stop play and awarded the goal despite numerous protests.

In the second half, BKS tried to make up the deficit, but the visitors defended skillfully. The Bolesławiec players were very ineffective and lacked ideas. Zbigniew Mastalerz was completely invisible. Coach Paweł Żmudziński also gave the ball away several times. BKS striker Marcin Jankowski was also nowhere to be seen. Marcin Głowacki likewise had a poor game. Piotr Bryłkowski was BKS’s best player, fighting hard and giving his all. Goalkeeper Manuel Kowalski also made a good impression, saving, among other things, a powerful shot by Bogusław Kosiorowski in the 53rd minute. The rest of the team performed very averagely. The referee also had a poor game, making mistakes in both directions and mainly booking the home players. The substitutes brought some energy to BKS’s play, but it was not enough to secure even a draw. In addition, Wojciech Glanc received a red card in the 69th minute (for two yellow cards). BKS played a poor match and lost 0:1 (0:1) to Twardy Świętoszów. After six rounds, the Bolesławiec side have 12 points and sit third in the table. Next weekend, Paweł Żmudziński’s team will play away against GKS Warta Bolesławiecka.
