The publication, officially presented on 17 July at the Town Hall, concerns the history and contemporary life of Bolesławiec. The fourth edition includes texts devoted, among other things, to Prof. Tadeusz Szafran, a ceramic artist who made a significant contribution to Bolesławiec, rocket units in Bolesławiec, local television, selected Bolesławiec schools, and the 40th anniversary of Ryszard Tomczyk winning the European boxing championship.
The Yearbook also presents profiles of renowned Bolesławiec artists: Stanisław Borowski, Bronisław Wolanin, Edward Szutter and Czesław Matyjewicz, as well as Bolesławiec residents who have achieved success in various fields: Katarzyna Pranić (literary debut), Bartek Miarka (music), Przemysław Filipowicz (director and documentary filmmaker) and Michał Twerd (painting). The publication also includes recollections by Anna Baniecka, Franciszek Sarzyński, Bohdan Pieliński and Tomasz Niewodniczański.
Printing, typesetting and graphic design, as usual carried out by Grzegorz Matoryn, cost PLN 24,940. Fees, proofreading and publishing review cost PLN 18,531—an average of around PLN 500 per author. Maintaining and running the website (also by Grzegorz Matoryn), producing and licensing photographs, and printing and sending invitations cost PLN 5,969.
In total, publishing 500 copies cost approximately PLN 50,000. The Municipality of Bolesławiec contributed PLN 30,000, Stowarzyszenie Ziemia Bolesławiecka PLN 15,000, and PLN 4,600 came from the funds of the Ceramics Museum in Bolesławiec.
The Yearbook can be purchased in print at Bolesławiec bookstores, the Ceramics Museum and the Tourist Information Point. It is available online free of charge, but in a very abridged form. The address is provided below.
