Members of the DwD Film Group create short film études for their own pleasure and decided to show their productions to a wider audience. The authors of the film “Seven Deadly Sins” live in Lwówek and the area around Zgorzelec, but they are also connected with Bolesławiec.
Michał Szwed, an instructor from the BOK-MCC film workshop, helped them with their filmmaking activities. The DwD Film Group greatly values this cooperation. “I met Michał Szwed back at school,” says Szymon Wasylów of the DwD Film Group. “He filmed school events and suggested that we use the film workshop at BOK-MCC. Today we film on our own, but we are happy to benefit from Michał’s advice.”
The amateur filmmakers realize that they still have much to learn and that their films are not perfect. The action of their latest étude, “Seven Deadly Sins,” takes place in the familiar landscapes of the Lower Silesian Forests, Bolesławiec and Lwówek Śląski. In the film, the authors tell the story of a young man who encounters an inevitable fate.
