Boletus is an anonymous columnist for Bolec.Info. Everyone writes anonymously on Bolec, but we managed to reveal J. Bolesławiecki (it is Kazimierz Marczewski). Boletus is still hiding and using camouflage worthy of special forces units such as Formoza—or even bin Laden himself. Of course, from the time when they were looking for him.

As Siara from “Kiler” might put it, Boletus is extremely cautious while hiding; he is super-cautious, like a weasel, a cockchafer, or a gamekeeper. And he writes as if he were sitting in a basement, far away—for example, in Kraków—because he has no understanding whatsoever of the realities of Bolesławiec. Only as much as his colleagues tell him, or as much as he reads on Bolec. The Istotne.pl portal is probably not his favorite reading, because if he read us, he would know considerably more and might understand the nuances of Bolesławiec’s arrangements, which he so likes to write about.

Boletus does not know the realities of Bolesławiec, but he also writes nonsense about Polish reality. Recently, in his column, he shared information that he visited the railway station in Wrocław immediately after Tusk—or shortly before Tusk. And, unlike the prime minister, he was not pleased with the work progressing there. Sigh... Some people writing on local blogs or portals still delude themselves that someone important reads them. President Roman dispelled my illusions, repeatedly saying far and wide that he does not visit Istotne.pl and does not read it. And I, putting my pride aside, truly believe him. Even if he did read it, the power of the fourth estate can be fragile, as becomes clear when one steps out into the world from a Kraków basement—or any other basement.

Boletus does sit in a basement, however, and uses a special technique. He creates an illusion of power. First, he invents a problem, then imagines that it has been solved by taking his text as a guide. In one of his columns, he wrote that in the new building of the International Ceramics Centre, the wind was the only thing roaming around, nobody came there, and absolutely nothing was happening. He wrote this despite the fact that most of the texts posted on Bolec about workshops, art classes, and film castings are copied mainly from the BOK-MCC website.

After the column in which Boletus described the International Ceramics Centre as a marble wasteland, the man had to poke his head out of his hideout and notice the banners on Bolec paid for by that very BOK-MCC. Boletus therefore concluded that something was indeed happening there—and that it must be thanks to him and his columns.

I ask Kazimierz Marczewski and his son Marcin to cut Boletus a piece of the cake they bought with the banners paid for by BOK-MCC during the bolec party. And for the gentlemen to pour him some juice or a beer, because the man writes well and is killer like Kiler.
